Description: The course will focus on identifying, describing, classifying,
and interpreting the four components of all sedimentary rocks (framework grains, cements,
matrix, pore types). How sediments form and evolve as they are transported, deposited,
buried, and lithified to become sedimentary rocks will be discussed as well.
