Application period:

Applications open from 19 January – 15 February, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST for summer season projects starting between May and September 2026.

Early May to 15 June, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT for winter season projects starting between October 2026 and April 2027.

Please note a maximum of 60 applicants can apply to the same SIP Intern position, so some projects may be "full" and close before the application deadline. Applicants may apply for up to five positions per season.

Basic eligibility:

Program participants must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident. Learn more.
