Membership

The Geological Society of America (GSA) brings together a vibrant and diverse community of geoscientists dedicated to exploring the mysteries of our planet and beyond. Members and enthusiasts from academia, government, and industry worldwide engage in GSA meetings, publications, and programs, fostering professional excellence at all career stages. GSA is committed to inclusion, promoting collaborative research, public dialogue on earth issues, science education, and the application of geoscience for the benefit of humanity.

If you are a member and need to change any of your personal information, please log in to the site and click on your name at the top of the screen. This displays the contact information and preferences we have on file. You can make changes to your GSA member record wherever you see a pencil(edit) icon. If you prefer, you may contact GSA Member and Customer Services, gsaservice@geosociety.org.
You may join online, or you may print the appropriate PDF form and send it to us by mail.
GSA has six regional Sections. GSA also has 22 special-interest Divisions. GSA does not have or sponsor geology clubs, so you may want to check with your university.
You may pay with a credit card at the current international exchange rate, or if you plan to mail your payment, you may pay with a money order or check payable in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank to the address shown on the paper form. GSA is not able to accept payments in foreign currency at this time; we apologize for any inconvenience. If you would like information on preparing for electronic transfer of funds, please contact GSA Member and Customer Services, gsaservice@geosociety.org.
> If you are joining GSA for the first time or renewing your membership, you can subscribe to any product using the Renewal Form or New Member Application.
> If you are already a member and wish to add additional items to your membership such as journals, Divisions or Sections, visit your account dashboard and locate the options under Enhance My Membership.
If you know your username, follow these steps and your membership number will be sent to the email address we have on file with you. Otherwise, you may contact GSA Member and Customer Services, gsaservice@geosociety.org.
When you join or renew, you will receive an email receipt, usually within 48 hours. If at any other time you would like a receipt, please contact GSA Member and Customer Services, gsaservice@geosociety.org.
Membership dues are not deductible as charitable contributions. However, your dues may be deductible as a business or other itemized expense. Please consult your tax advisor. Your contributions to the GSA Foundation are tax deductible in the United States.
To view your digital membership card, click on My Profile in your account dashboard. If you're a current member in good standing, you'll see a link to "View my digital membership card."

Meetings

If a meeting is open for registration, there will be a direct link from the home page for that meeting. Just click on the meeting you wish to attend from our Events page.

Publications

Orders are generally shipped within three business days, either via UPS Ground, or US Postal Service. Please contact GSA Member and Customer Services, gsaservice@geosociety.org, for more detailed information on your shipment.
You may place an order for GSA books, maps, charts, etc., on the GSA Online Store or you may contact GSA Member and Customer Services via email gsaservice@geosociety.org, phone (1-800-472-1988; or 303-357-1000, option 3).
Subscription rates for members are substantially less than for institutions or non-member individuals.
