Where Geoscience Converges on the Mighty Mississippi
Join us for the Joint Southeastern, North-Central, and South-Central Section Meeting of the Geological Society of America in 8-11 March 2026 in Memphis, Tennessee. This dynamic gathering will bring together geoscientists from across the country to explore new research, share discoveries, and connect with colleagues. Set in the heart of the Mississippi Embayment, Memphis offers a compelling natural classroom—from the loess-capped Chickasaw Bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River to the region's deep sedimentary history and proximity to the New Madrid Seismic Zone. With engaging technical sessions, field opportunities, and networking events, this meeting will highlight the diverse geology and vibrant scientific community shaping the future of the geosciences.
