GSA Rocky Mountain Executive Committee Management Board Meeting Breakfast (Invitation Only),
7–8:30 a.m., Terrace Room East, 2nd floor
National Science Foundation (NSF) Lunchtime Q&A, 12–1 p.m., Meeting Room 1. NSF Program
Director Rachel Teasdale will share information about NSF, new changes to the Proposal & Award Policies
& Procedures Guide (PAPPG), best practices for proposal preparation, programs, and award opportunities.
There will be lots of time for Q&A and discussion.
GSA Rocky Mountain and Cordilleran Executive Committee Section Business Meeting (Open to All Attendees) , 5–6 p.m.,
Terrace Room East, 2nd floor. The 'Annual Business Meeting' for the Cordilleran and the Rocky Mountain Sections will commence jointly with some general announcements and a few words from GSA leadership, after which the two sections will split to hold their separate proceedings.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jon Major, 6–7:30 p.m., Cedar Ballroom. Listen to Dr. Jon Major,
Scientist-in-Charge at the US Geological Survey, Cascade Volcano Observatory, present “Four decades of Mount St.
Helens as a master teacher.” This is part of a recognition of the 44th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St.
Helens on May 18th, 1980.
Friday, 17 May

Guide-yourself Field Trip of Riverfront Park, 1:30–4 p.m. Leave the Davenport Grand and walk
through Riverfront Park. Upper Falls Dam Power house (Stop 4) will be open to see the turbine and historic
building from 2–3 p.m. The combined sewer overflow (CSO) tank (Stop 7) will open from 2:30–3:30 p.m. Volunteers
