International Division
Travel Grants
The International Division of GSA has limited funds to assist the participation of international scientists in the annual meeting of the society. Grants will never cover the full cost of attending the meeting, but are intended to help defray the combined cost of registration, housing, and travel.
To apply for a 2008 Travel Grant, please provide us with a letter containing the following information by 1 July:
- Name
- Professional Affiliation
- Institution
- Address
- Year of PhD degree or student status
- Title of abstract (attach copy)
- Session abstract was submitted to
- If this is an invited presentation, please obtain a supporting letter from the session convenor stating the reason you were invited (have sent to address below).
- List previous GSA meetings that you have attended
- Source(s) of existing or probable funding and statement of your financial need
- Are you a member of the Geological Society of America?
- Are you a member of the International Division of GSA?
- List name, affiliation, and e-mail addresses of at least one person (preferably members of GSA) who can be contacted about your work.
Submit the application letter (and a letter from the convener who invited you to present the paper) by 1 July to
