Mentor Programs

Geology in Industry

Held only at GSA's Annual Meetings, this free event connects geoscience mentors associated with industry to GSA's student members in an informal Q&A luncheon setting. A FREE LUNCH is provided for students. Students registered for Annual Meeting will receive a free ticket to this event.

The event is sponsored by ExxonMobil, Alpha Natural Resources, Chevron, and the Society of Economic Geologists. A select panel of mentors representing various industries are featured. They invite questions from the students, offer advice about preparing for a career in industry, and comment on the prospects for current and future job opportunities within their industries.
