Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Meeting Co-chairs Suzanne Mahlburg Kay and Victor Ramos and dozens of volunteers, Backbone of the Americas — Patagonia to Alaska was a resounding success!
- The meeting was attended by more than 400 participants and guests
- Pre- and post-meeting field trips and a mid-week field trip provided a visual backdrop to the excellent technical presentations. Eight buses were needed to accommodate approximately 350 participants on the Wednesday trip which culminated in stunning views of Aconcagua.
- More than 300 attended a farewell dinner at a local winery, featuring Argentina's famous beef, wine, and Tango dancers.
