Assistant Professor of Geological Sciences, Ball State University

Ball State University Department of Geological Sciences is seeking applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty member specializing in Quaternary Geosciences with an environmental focus, and a secondary area of geology, oceanography, paleoclimatology, geochemistry and environmental geoscience. Appointment will begin August 2018.

Minimum qualifications: earned doctorate in geoscience or closely related environmental science field. Post-doctoral experience related to the geoscience discipline. Areas of expertise may include some combination of geology, oceanography, paleoclimatology, geochemistry, environmental geoscience, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: record of extramural proposal submissions, evidence of extramural grant acquisition, a strong record of refereed research publications, demonstrated ability to teach graduate and undergraduate students and research interests that complement existing environmental science faculty.
