Assistant Professor: Solid Earth Geology, Gustavus Adolphus College

Starting September, 2018

Gustavus Adolphus College seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track position of assistant professor to begin September 1, 2018. We seek candidates with a PhD or ABD and commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, advising and research mentorship. Assignments include courses in earth materials/mineralogy, structural geology, petrology, introductory geology, first-term seminars, senior thesis supervision and undergraduate advising. The strongest candidates will have demonstrated teaching excellence and an ability to engage students in modern laboratory and analytical techniques and fieldwork. Tenure-track faculty are expected to have a high-quality research program that can include undergraduate researchers. Visit for application instructions.
