Senior Petroleum Geologist, Idaho Geological Survey, University of Idaho

The Idaho Geological Survey (IGS) is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Petroleum Geologist for their Boise office located in the Idaho Water Center. Primary responsibilities include implementation of petroleum geology research projects, subsurface modeling, collection, analysis, and interpretation of geological data and the construction, publication, and presentation of geological research and conclusions to a diverse audience. This position assumes Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator responsibilities for the development and execution of research and industry initiatives including grant proposals and submissions for the acquisition of research funding. Field based geological studies, including but not limited to biostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, measurement and description of stratigraphic sections, basin analysis studies, and well testing of hydrocarbons, will be assigned as needed to assist with ongoing research priorities and deliverables.

An attractive benefits package and moving allowance is available to the successful candidate; an annual salary up to $65,000 is provided, commensurate with experience.
