Curator, Tellus Science Museum

Tellus Science Museum seeks a Curator to oversee its collection of minerals, rocks, fossils, flight and space materials, and scientific equipment. This position supervises the acquisition, maintenance, care, documentation, preservation, and use of the collections, and serves as a subject matter expert in the fields of geology, specifically mineralogy, petrology, and paleontology. Master’s degree in geology, with in-depth knowledge of mineralogy, and paleontology, and two years museum experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Ph.D. and experience in a non-profit organization is a plus. Basic knowledge of registration methods, artifact handling, accepted preservation/conservation techniques, and database management needed.
