GSAís Continuing Education Units (CEU)
The Geological Society of America offers Continuing Education Credits (CEUís) for many of its professional development activities — including short courses, training workshops, field trips, and internships.
One CEU is a nationally recognized unit of achievement that is based upon 10 contact hours of learning. CEUís are awarded by organizations for continuing education programs that conform to recognized standards for responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
Established in 1888, The Geological Society of America provides access to elements that are essential to the professional growth of earth scientists at all levels of expertise and from all sectors: academic, government, business, and industry. The Geological Society's growing membership unites over 25,000 of earth scientists from every corner of the globe in a common purpose to study the mysteries of our planet and share scientific findings. Owing to its broad based, professional and long established scientific standing, GSA is well qualified to issue CEUís of the highest distinction for its professional development programs in fulfillment of its strategic goal, ďto promote a robust, diverse, and sustainable professional geoscience community.Ē
