A 13 July National Post (Canada) article covers Geology science by B.C. Proemse and colleagues, "Molybdenum isotopic evidence for oxic marine conditions during the latest Permian extinction," which was published online ahead of print on 11 July 2013. The National Post article was picked up by the Vancouver Sun on 14 July.

Just Venting
The Geology study by L.L. Brothers and colleagues, "Evidence for extensive methane venting on the southeastern U.S. Atlantic margin," which was posted online ahead of print on 16 May 2013, is covered in an 18 June LiveScience article.

I'll Have My Lava on Ice
A 26 June International Business Times article covers Geology science by B.R. Edwards and colleagues, "Insights on lava-ice/snow interactions from large-scale basaltic melt experiments," which was published online ahead of print on 20 June 2013.

Billions and Billions of Years Ago
A 27 June Scientific American blog post covers Geology science by C.H. House and colleagues, "Carbon isotopic analyses of ca. 3.0 Ga microstructures imply planktonic autotrophs inhabited Earth's early oceans," which was published in the June 2013 issue of Geology.

What Time Do You Have on Your Molecular Clock?
The Geology article, "Evidence for Cnidaria-like behavior in ca. 560 Ma Ediacaran Aspidella," by L.R. Menon and colleagues, posted online ahead of print on 6 June 2013, is covered in a 27 June Windsor Star article.

More Strain near Spain
Geology science by J.C. Duarte and colleagues, "Are subduction zones invading the Atlantic? Evidence from the southwest Iberia margin," which was posted online on 6 June 2013, has received even more coverage since the June issue of GSA Connection was released. The study has also been detailed in an 18 June Wired.co.uk article, a 19 June National Geographic Daily News article, and two 25 June articles — one in the Newcastle Herald and one on the ScienceRay website.

Annual Meeting Science in the News
The upcoming GSA Annual Meeting Topical Session, "The Snowmastodon Project: A Multi-Proxy Approach to Understanding the Response of Alpine Ecosystems to Climate Change in the Colorado Rockies" (with Jeffrey S.
